Madison Square Garden - 1985, this show inspired me to keep riding after watching this wonderful horse.
My first horse show. The bay mare was RCA, she was a TB cross, the appaloosa was Percy (Percival's Pride). It was a lot of fun!!! I placed in all my classes, I was pretty excited!

Mikey "Michael's Fire" a QH/Morgan cross gelding, whom I rode and competed on, he was owned by my trainer and was a wonderful little horse with a lot of heart. These are pictures from a show at Old Salem Farm back in the mid-80's. He and I rode in many shows and did quite well and I really enjoyed riding him!
Tuffy (Tuff Darts) was a horse which I shareboarded and showed quite a lot. He was a fantastic young horse with a wonderful personality. He was the first horse that I jumped over 5'+ and the first horse that I rode with no tack at all on him.
My first horse! I finally bought my own horse when I was 17, after many years of riding and showing other people's horses. An Appaloosa cross gelding. He was little but had springs for legs. He was only 14.3 hands but I jumped him over 4'6" and he cleared it easily! A trainer my parents' had (who imported hunter/jumpers from Europe) told them that he was dangerous and would kill me but he never did and was one of the best horses I've owned.

That's me on Alex, my second horse that I owned. He was trained high school dressage. The second time I rode him, I was heading out on a trail ride to ride him back to the stable that I was managing from the stable where I had purchased him, he reared up, jumped up into the air and kicked out his hind legs and landed very neatly back on his hind legs, I was surprised but it was sooo balanced that it was easy to ride. He came with a spanish name but was renamed Alex by one of my riding students.
A big TB gelding, 17.3 hands, that I rode for a young woman, he was sweet but I can not remember his name.

Mayfaire Magic, nicknamed Moose and/or Mayfaire, with her mom in the background as a yearling and a 10 yr. old. She is a beautiful mare but with a lot of attitude! Her sire, Magical Mike, is known for having offspring with attitude and she certainly does!
